Touch Sensitive Graphics in Dreamweaver

1.  Insert a graphic or picture into your html document.

2.  From the Image drop down menu, select "Draw Rectangle Hotspot". You have to click on the small arrow to get the drop down menu.

3.  Click and drag a box around the part of your image that you want to make touch sensitive.

4.  Your hotspot will be highlighted in blue. You can now set the properties for it. You will be prompted to add Alternate text. Put the URL where you want you hotspot to link to in the "link" field.

5.  Test you page in a browser to make sure the hotspot links correctly.

Animation Steps for PhotoShop

 

  1. Open 1st graphic
  2. Save As: .psd file
  3. Open 2nd graphic
  4. Select: All
  5. Edit: Copy
  6. Touch the .psd file to make it active
  7. Paste: Copy.  Notice you now have a second layer
  8. Close this graphic.
  9. Repeat steps 3 – 7  using graphics in the sequence of your animation.
  10. Open the Animation window: Window | animation
  11. Select "Make Frames from Layers" from the options drop down menu.

  1. Settings for animation: Looping (Forever, 3 time, Once, other); Time per frame: (1 second works best, use shift click to select all frames at once); Play, Stop, tween, duplicate layer and delete layer.
  2. "Save for Web" (as a .gif)
  3. View animation in Internet Explorer
  4. Publish on your webpage!
