Roger G. Barry, Ph.D., Southampton, 1965, is Professor and Director, World Data Center-A for Glaciology/ National Snow & Ice Data Center (http://nsidc.org). Rostered in the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences (CIRES)(http://cires.colorado.edu/fellows/barry.html), his major interests are in Arctic climate, snow and ice, mountain climate and climatic change. He is a Fellow of the American Geophysical Union, co-Vice Chair of the Scientific Steering Group for the Climate and Cryosphere project of the World Climate Research Programme, and serves on the editorial boards of Erdkunde, Polar Geography and Physical Geography.

Current Research Projects:
Analysis of frozen ground conditions in Eurasia; cryospheric data management. Dr. Barry's work is supported by NASA, NSF, NOAA.
