What's it all about? This is a website created for Geography 5043: Cartography 2, Interactive and Multimedia Mapping with Dr. Ken Foote. The purpose of the website is to explore ways of visualizing cartographic information as well as to experiment with various web programming styles. Thus, the site should always be considered a work in progress, and I would appreciate any feedback you may have regarding its accessibility and visual appeal. Thanks for visiting, come back again soon! |

Who am I?I am in the last semester of my graduate studies here at the University of Colorado. I was born and grew up here in Boulder, but left town to get a physics degree at Pomona College in Claremont, CA. After graduating, I did email support and technical consulting at Globix Corp in Santa Clara, CA until they went down in the tech collapse. I then convinced the wonderful woman who is now my wife to move back to Boulder with me. I worked for six months at Finali Corp in Westminster, CO doing internet credit-card fraud detection for Bidpay.com while I waited to get into grad school. Now I'm doing GIScience with some amazing people including Jeremy Mennis and Babs Buttenfield. Please visit this site for more information on my research pursuits. |
