Mini-Symposia for STEM Education: collaboration between Integrating STEM Education (iSTEM) and the Faculty Teaching Excellence Program (FTEP)
Integrating STEM Education (iSTEM) and the Faculty Teaching Excellence Program (FTEP) will offer up to 4 mini-symposia during 2010 to bring together audiences in four areas: teacher professional development, graduate education, undergraduate research, and outreach/community engagement. The goal to bring people from policy, practice, and research communities in each area together to learn about each other’s work, make connections and build community, and hopefully collaborate or coordinate on future projects and proposals. Each mini-symposia will be a platform to bring people together, but it will be up to the participants as to how they choose to move forward. The Annual iSTEM Symposium in August will feature outcomes from the mini-symposia.
All mini-symposia will be co-sponsored by iSTEM and FTEP.
