GOING GOOGLE

The University of Colorado at Boulder is Going Google! What does this mean? How will it impact teaching and learning at CU-Boulder? Come learn more with Bradley Grabham. Most k-12 school districts in the Denver area are using Google Apps for Education, providing their students with access to Google productivity tools as early as primary school. Students coming to the University of Colorado at Boulder in the next five years may never have opened Microsoft Word, but will be familiar with sharing, collaborating, and publishing with Google tools. Are you ready?

Participants will receive a status update on the Google Apps project, learn about what tools are available, and hear about best practices for using Google Apps in the higher education classroom. While the conversation will focus on the core Google suite, including Docs/Drive, Sites, Calendar and Gmail, this conversation will also look forward to the exciting social and video conferencing options offered in Google+.

The FTEP Technology Enhanced Learning Forums are designed and provided for our instructional faculty members. Participation in FTEP Workshops and Symposias is open to Professors, Associate Professors, Assistant Professors, Instructors, Senior Instructors and Scholars-in-Residence, as per your official HR Job Class. If you plan to participate in a symposium conducted by a presenter whose college is different from your own, please be prepared to adapt the recommended teaching tools to the needs of your own discipline.
