Colorado state laws assign responsibility for overseeing construction activities to the Office of the State Architect, which in turn delegates this responsibility to CU-Boulder with regards to campus construction. As a result, all construction work on campus is required to undergo a process that includes plan review, permitting and inspection. Consulting with Fire & Life Safety at the onset of a project affords more opportunity for creative and cost-effective solutions that promote a safe built environment that protects life, health and property.
