Submit an Inspection Request

Point to point is a UCB required inspection that is part of the commissioning process, but not a code based inspection. Commissioning is the systematic process by which each piece of equipment within our facilities are tested to verify that it functions in accordance with the design intent/owner’s operational requirements.

Point to Point Inspection Request

Colorado state laws assign responsibility for overseeing construction activities to the Office of the State Architect, which in turn delegates this responsibility to CU-Boulder with regards to campus construction. As a result, all construction work on campus is required to undergo a process that includes plan review, permitting and inspection. Consulting with Fire & Life Safety at the onset of a project affords more opportunity for creative and cost-effective solutions that promote a safe built environment that protects life, health and property.
