I am a self taught weaver and basket maker. I have chosen to work with fiber and the above techniques as raw material and as the means to express my ideas. Fiber is used because of its inherent textural and visual nature and its versatility; weaving, because of the challenge to master the mechanics of the loom and various weave structures and techniques; and basketry because of its sculptural qualities.

It is challenging to develop the interrelationships between colors, fibers, textures, shapes, spaces and lines into a unified composition. Weaving and basketry can be used to blend function and form.

I enjoy using luxurious yarns, striking to subtle compositions, and textures from yarns and weave structures to make functional and artistic pieces for the home or corporate environment. I specialize in wall hangings, fashion accessories, linens and rugs for the home and other custom items.
