Sarah Leete has been an artist since she was 14-years old. Using a friend's loom, she taught herself to weave anything from clothing, to rugs, to baskets. She also loves portrait drawing in charcoals and pastels, painting with watercolor, crocheting, knitting, embroidering, photography, and jewelry making.

Diagnosed the following year with rheumatoid arthritis, the often times painful disability has slowed down the production of her art, but not her drive to create. Her favorite materials are soft yarns, but she will use anything that comes in handy.

Through the years, Sarah has exhibited some of her pieces, one weaving was even displayed in a Better Homes and Gardens holiday issue. However, most have sold to private collectors or commercial properties.

Now 61, Sarah is recovering from shoulder surgery. With limited movement in her arm and shoulder, she will stow away the loom for the time being and concentrate on jewelry-making.
