Undergraduate Advising

Undergraduate Advising

It is extremely important that students talk with an academic advisor as early in their matriculation as possible. Please keep in mind that the advisors in the Department are available by appointment, to make an appointment go to advising.colorado.edu.

Advising Information Center

Advising forms and information about upcoming advising events are located at the lower left of the door of the Fine Arts Advising Office, Room N198 and in the red display case by the galleries. Forms available for use include: Waiver Forms, Change in Major Forms, Independent Study Forms, Advising Worksheets (for B.F.A. Degree in Studio Arts, the B.A. degree in Studio Arts, and the B.A. degree in Art History), the Undergraduate Degrees Information Packet, and some CORE worksheets.

Outcomes Assessment

Outcomes Assessment is a procedure used at the end of every semester to evaluate the progress of Fine Arts graduating seniors. B.F.A. studio and art history seniors fill out a student evaluation form evaluating the department and the curriculum, adding comments about their overall experience as undergraduates. In addition, outside experts are invited to judge the B.F.A. exhibition and read solicited papers from art history students. Data collected from this review is published annually by the University in a publication entitled the "Outcomes Assessment Accountability Report".
