Online Application

Applications to our graduate program must be submitted online through the Graduate School’s portal: http://www.colorado.edu/prospective/graduate/apply/application.html

If you are an international applicant, click here.

The online application system used by CU-Boulder, ApplyYourself, has an efficient Help Desk, in case you need technical assistance.

In your application, you will need to indicate Art History as the area of your interest and the semester in which your graduate studies are to be initiated.  Admission, if granted, will be valid only for that particular semester.   Please follow all other guidelines and call our Graduate Program Coordinator if necessary: 303-492-2419.

You may also review the entire Graduate Admission Application Process.

Applicants to the master's program in art history are asked to write a 750 to 1,000 word essay in Part II, number 6 on the application form, addressing their experience in art history and objectives.  The essay may be attached electronically to the online application or sent separately to the address below.

Applicants may also submit a sample paper written for an art history class (not required).
