ArtsBridge:   who   what   why   directors

Who

ArtsBridge scholars are outstanding CU fine art students who travel to local schools to conduct workshops in the visual arts (including video and digital art). They address core subjects via visual arts. Each scholar is in residence for a semester. They collaborate with teachers, CU faculty and approximately 30 pupils with no cost to the K-12 schools which they service.

Mounting research shows that artistic skills support students' understanding of language, math and science concepts. ArtsBridge stimulates students interest in academic topics by increasing learning success, and using arts and technology courses to address such inequities as the "digital divide."

ArtsBridge serves schools in the Boulder Valley School District. With increased support from corporation, foundations and individuals like you, ArtsBridge will soon serve St. Vrain School District and Denver Public Schools.
