Scholars
Looking for Qualified Scholars Do
you want to help bring the arts to life for youth, gain valuable experience
and earn scholarship money? If your answer is “yes,” then
we invite you to apply to be an ArtsBridge Scholar! Job of a Scholar ArtsBridge
Scholars are outstanding University of Colorado students who conduct visual
and performing arts workshops and develop projects in area public schools.
We are looking for a variety of scholars to teach drawing, painting, photography,
acting, singing, dance, film making, web design and more. Each
scholar will be matched with a mentor (who is either a university faculty
member or past ArtsBridge Scholar) and a public school classroom project.
With guidance from the mentor, the scholar will collaborate with the classroom
teacher to develop and carry out arts lessons during the acedemic semester.
These lessons give students in public schools hands-on experience with
the arts that otherwise they might not have. Scholars
will receive cash awards for their efforts. Money will be paid twice during
the semester, once halfway through and again upon completion of the project. How to Apply If you are interested in this wonderful opportunity, we invite you to apply to be an ArtsBridge Scholar. Applications are available in the Sibell - Wolle Art Building, 318 UCB, Room C124, University of Colorado, Boulder, CO 80309-0318 or call Valerie Albicker at 303.492.2539.
