Project Description:
During the fall semester of 2002 Carlyn Smith’s seventh grade class began expanding their knowledge of art and its visual language. Through a series of studio exercises the students became more familiar with sculpture and space. The students final project was to research the Fibioncci number series and find out how it relates to nature. Using adobe the students created an object that was a visual representation of whatever they researched. There was only one rule that after they made their objects they had to write a one page paper that explains why they made what they did, and how it related to the Fibionaci number series.
