A BRIEF
DESCRIPTION
The Boulder Faculty Assembly
(BFA) is the representative governing body of the University of Colorado
at Boulder. The BFA members are elected each spring in campus wide
and college elections by the approximately 1,200 faculty of the University
of Colorado at Boulder and according to procedures set forth in the
Boulder Faculty Assembly bylaws.
The BFA Executive Committee
consist of the three officers of the Assembly: Chair, Vice Chair,
Secretary, (all elected by the members of the assembly); two officers-elect
of the Assembly (elected at-large), the chairs of the BFA standing
committees (ex-officio with vote); and the most recently retired
chair of the Assembly who shall be a member ex-officio with vote
for the year following his/her retirement from the office of the
chair.
The Boulder Faculty Assembly
and the standing committees of the BFA advise and recommend action
to the Chancellor and administrative officials on matters related
to educational policy and operations of the Boulder campus.
