TRACK 1

Appointments Requiring
Offer Letter Approval
Through Faculty Affairs

Items to Report:
  • Full, Associate, Asst Professor
  • 100% Instructor, Sr Instructor
  • Faculty Administrative Appts such as:  Chair, Assoc Chair, Faculty Director, Assoc Fac Director
  • Institute Director
  • Professional Exempt Appointments
Reported by Faculty Affairs

TRACK 2

Appointments NOT Requiring
Offer Letter Approval
Through Faculty Affairs

Items to Report:
  • All Other Faculty job classes
    (1400 series) not listed under Track 1
  • part-time Instructors (<100%)
  • Additional appointments for all ranks including those in Track 1 (such as for overload teaching)

Reported by Dean’s Office

  • First report is due December 21 for inclusion on the December 31 Delegation Report
  • Monthly Deadline to Faculty Affairs:  21st of each month for Track 1 and Track 2.

Each Dean’s office needs to submit their monthly Report of Personnel Actions to Faculty Affairs on or before the 21st of each month to be included on that month’s Delegation Report. 

  • The required format is the Excel template distributed by Faculty Affairs.  Only one report from each Dean will be accepted.  If no activity that month, indicate that on the report template and submit it as an official report.
  • The report needs to be electronically submitted to avcfac@colorado.edu and a hardcopy signed by the Dean must also be delivered to Faculty Affairs in Regent 205 by the deadline each month.
  • Items reported for approval must remain in “proposed” status in the payroll system until approval has been granted by the Chancellor.
  • Notification of approval will occur electronically.  Items reported by Faculty Affairs will be detailed in that notification as they are currently.  An additional page will be added to the current notification worksheet stating “All items reported by the Deans’ Offices were approved.”  Any items not approved will be handled individually.
