- UCB inventory stores: supply classrooms, labs, offices and shops with consumables such as paper, custodial supplies, liquid nitrogen, etc
- Facilities Management Stores: manage and procure a wide variety of parts, supplies and "critical spares," supporting the Trades, Construction, Grounds and Custodial divisions
- UCB central receiving, distribution and shipping services (including hazardous materials)
- Supply chain management for maintenance parts for Facilities Management
- Warehousing/storage for UCB departments needing long-term storage of equipment, documents, etc.
Campus Storage - Materiel Management provides temporary and long term archive storage space for Boulder campus departments:
- $7.98 per pallet per month.
- Bulk floor storage $0.81 per square foot per month.
- Secured, climate controlled areas on a contractual basis. Call us for rates.
- Distribution Services will pick up storage items at no extra charge.

When placing your order, include the telephone number where you can be reached, the speedtype you want charged, a description of the item(s) you wish to store, the room and building number where the item(s) are located for pick-up, and the estimated time the item(s) will be in storage.
Outgoing/Incoming Freight - Distribution Center's Materiel Management offers outgoing shipping, special delivery, and distribution services to campus departments.
- Bob Rochkes (303-492-6369) is well versed in the procedures for international and domestic shipping.
- All types of shipping can be accomodated with a 13.2% surcharge(includes GAR/GIR).
- Special deliveries (such as telephone book distribution or delivery of cable spools to Denver), packaging for freight and hazardous materials shipments, and special services (such as un-crating centrally received frieight) are billed for labor time, truck rental, and materials.
- Current Labor Rate: $42.81/Person/Hour
- Truck Rental: One Ton Cube-- $45/day, $30/half day
- Truck Rental: Stakebed or 2 Ton Diesel- $50day, $35/half day
Hazardous Materials Shipping - Our staff has been trained in the proper procedures for shipping hazardous materials and we are always willing to talk with you about any concerns you might have.

- In placing your order include: the telephone number at which you can be reached, the speedtype you want charged, a description of the item you are shipping, the location of the item to be shipped, specifically the building and room number, and the item's final destination.
- Hazardous materials shipments also involve a $12 per item handling and preparation charge.
- If the location of the freight is in a locked room or if you have irregular office hours, please include that information when arranging for pick up.

Normal turn-around is 4-8 business hours. If that is not soon enough we make every effort to accomodate rush orders, though an additional charge may be assessed.
