Distribution of U.S.P.S. and Campus Mail
Mail Pickup and Delivery Schedules
Except for unusually high volume days, such as Mondays and after University or Postal holidays, all first-class mail/newspapers, and parcels received from the Post Office by 8:00 A.M. and all UCB intra-campus mail received in Mailing Services by 9:30 A.M. are sorted and delivered that same day.
Delivery of Intra-Campus Mail
UCB intra-campus mail (other than parcels) received in Mailing Services by 9:30 A.M. are delivered the same day. Campus mail picked up or received in the afternoon will be delivered on the next business day.
Campus Mail Pickup/Delivery
Distribution letter carriers deliver and pick up letters and flats using a combination of foot routes and vehicles. Carriers on these routes will pick up University business-related intra-campus, Boulder-Denver Shuttle and outgoing letter and flat mail, which is ready for metering or UPS. Most departments on campus have a morning and afternoon pickup of USPS mail ready for posting. Mail for the Denver Shuttle received by 12:00 PM will be delivered same day to UCD, UCHSC and Fitzsimons.
Letter/Package Delivery Routes
If your department is moving to a new location, to ensure continuing prompt delivery of your mail, please remember to notify Mailing Services 303-492-6524 as early as possible before your move.
Distribution package carriers route and deliver all incoming USPS and intra-campus parcels on the UCB campus. In addition, they deliver large quantities of non-first class letters and flats to supplement the letter carrier routes. Package delivery is comprised of 3 morning and 2 afternoon delivery routes that pick up and deliver parcels on the Boulder Campus.
