Campus Cone Zone
CU-Boulder been impacted by the flooding that began on September 11, 2013. While the majority of our campus is well above the flood plain, some buildings have received minor damage from water in basements, crawlspaces and in low-lying sections.
Construction update: 18th & Colorado to open August 19
The intersection of 18th & Colorado will open to vehicle and pedestrian traffic on August 19, with the Stampede, 209, and J bus routes resuming normal service. Facilities Management would like to thank campus for its patience during the summer road closure, which allowed us to complete important utilities and site upgrades. Expect to see some continuing construction and landscaping activity in the vicinity of the intersection as the project wraps up, particularly near the east side of Ketchum Arts and Sciences.
Construction will also wrap up by the start of fall semester at a handful of other locations: Duane Physics, the UMC, Norlin Quad, the west entrance of Norlin Library, the Engineering Center, the entrance to Leeds School of Business, and the stairs leading to Muenzinger Psychology. There may be ongoing landscaping work, as well as daytime sprinkler use, in all these and other areas.
The renovated Kittredge residence complex will also be opening for the fall semester.
The Rec Center, Baker Hall, and Ekeley Sciences will have ongoing construction over the next year, as all three are undergoing substantial renovations. Construction in the parking lot at Leeds School of Business will be ongoing in phases throughout the end of the calendar year. Please exercise caution in construction areas and follow signs for detours and bike dismount zones.
