Project Based Learning in Rural Schools

Enroll now for a full-year course (1-credit in the fall, 2-credits in the spring) to teach about air quality in rural Colorado high schools using innovative air quality monitors developed by the Hannigan Research Group.

  • Gives students the opportunity to teach and explore in the western slope of Colorado.
  • Provides students with the opportunity to make a difference in rural high school students' lives.
  • Features small class sizes: usually 8 students or less.
  • Has a flexible schedule: the majority of coursework involves hands-on teaching experience in the spring.
  • Teaches a multitude of skills: project management, communication, teaching, and teamwork skills.
