RMWEA- RMSAWWA has a lot of exciting events happening! Come participate in the Water for People Softball tournament 8/27! Make a point to come check out the Joint Annual Conference in Keystone, CO this September! See more info below and get involved with the volunteering opportunities. Lots of exciting opportunities, especially for students! 8

1. WATER FOR PEOPLE SOFTBALL TOURNAMENT
WHEN: Saturday Aug 27, 2016 at 9:30AM 
DESCRIPTION: Fun and friendly tournament between water/wastewater consultants and utilities

2. JAC ACTIVITIES FOR YP'S
DESCRIPTION: If you are unfamiliar with the Joint Annual Conference (RMSAWWA and RMWEA), it is filled with presentations, vendors, and activities of the water and wastewater industry.Come be a part of this great event. Gain more info by clicking here.

YP ACTIVITIES SCHEDULE: 
Sunday, September 11: 5:00-7:00 PM join us at the Meet and Greet Reception. We’ll kickoff the conference by networking with seasoned professionals and Joint Governing Board members.

Monday, September 12: 
-YP Scavenger Hunt. Come to the Joint RMSAWWA/RMWEA Booth near the Exhibit Hall at 1:00 pm to start the hunt and finish at the Toilet Bowl Trivia event.
-YP Team Toilet Bowl Trivia at 4:30 to 6:30 pm. Sign up your team through Daniel.E.Freedman@mwhglobal.com.
Tuesday, September 13: YP Committee Meeting at 10:30 am in the Crestone Peak I room to network with fellow YPs and learn how to get more involved.

3. JAC VOLUNTEERING
STUDENTS: Go to JAC 2016 for FREE for your volunteering efforts. Looking to attend to RMSAWWA/RMWEA Joint Annual Conference for free? Pick up a few shifts as a room monitor and get in for the day you volunteer! Benefits to attending and volunteering as a student:Attend interesting technical sessions covering a wide variety of topic. Participate in awesome Young Professionals events. Work one on one with industry professionals running the JAC. Get the chance to talk to professionals in a casual setting. Attend one of the largest gatherings of water/wastewater professionals in the region for FREE.

4. AWWA-ACE STUDENT PAPERS
DESCRIPTION: Every year at ACE, AWWA holds a separate call for papers for students and young professionals. This separate process provides more speaking opportunities to these members.  Many are not aware of the opportunities that students and young-professionals have at the annual conference/expo. Please click here to check out the website and also see the attached flyer! Note, you don't not even have to be an AWWA member to participate! This is open to everyone!

5. AWWA STUDENT MEMBERSHIP $10  
DESCRIPTION: Are you a student, or do you know a student interested in getting involved with AWWA? AWWA is offering a $10 Student Membership fee for new student members. They can join online using the code 10STU. If a student wants to renew for $10 they can do that too – they simply need to call couustomer service at 1-800-926-7337 and mention the code 10STU. Note renewals cannot be taken online. See flyer.
