The Applied Exercise Science Lab is seeking sedentary subjects aged 18-55 to study electrically assisted bicycling (bicycle with a motor that only provides assistance when you pedal) and its potential effects on overall health. The experiment will consist of five separate sessions (up to 2.5 hrs. long) over 7 weeks. Benefits of participating include: body composition (% body fat), fitness assessment, bone density, glucose tolerance assessment and blood lipid profile. As compensation, you will be entered into a raffle to win an electric bike.
