About the Symposium

The CU-LEAD Alliance Student Symposium is a campus-wide event designed to showcase the creative and scholarly projects and research of CU-LEAD students across all disciplines at the University of Colorado Boulder. The symposium’s goal is to provide an interdisciplinary platform for student, faculty, and staff to engage in dialogue and encourage students to consider pursuing a postgraduate education.

This one-day symposium will feature panel presentations and a poster session where students can professionally present their research or project from the 2013/2014 academic year and describe how their work contributes to their respective discipline in a supportive environment of their peers, educators, university community and corporate supporters. Presenters can participate in a series of workshops prior to the symposium to assist in preparing their research or creative work for presentation.

Presenters will compete for top Presentation Awards in the disciplinary areas of: Arts & Humanities, Biological Sciences, STEM, Social Sciences and Professional Fields that will be juried by faculty sponsors.

Fall 2013 Check List

  • Attend Workshops on how to develop research & creation of projects and engage faculty during Diversity Summit

Spring 2014 Check List

  • Complete Application
  • Patricipate in Workshops on how to prepare research and creative projects for presentation. (and earn $25.00 for each workshop)

  • Present at Symposium on March 10, 2014
