Scholarships

Students in the Program in Environmental Design (ENVD) are eligible to apply for over $40,000 in scholarships awarded each year.  This money comes from our broad and generous group of private donors, as well as, program funds and professional organizations.

Current Students

The Environmental Design scholarship application process begins with the annual ENVD Scholarship meeting in January.  Applications are due in February and awardees are notified in March and April.

Scholarships for Academic Year 2014-2015:

This year’s scholarship information session will take place January 28, 2014 at noon in ENVD 134.

Applications are due February 18, 2014 at noon to the ENVD main office.

Each scholarship requires a separate application.

Prospective Students - Incoming Freshman and Transfer Students

The Environmental Design Program is interested in attracting the highest achieving students.   We offer the following scholarships for incoming freshman and transfer students.

The Program in Environmental Design Elite Scholarship

The Program in Environmental Design (ENVD) offers an additional scholarship to Esteemed Scholars. Up to fifteen $1,500 scholarships and is awarded in the amount of $750 each semester for the students' first year in the ENVD program.  This scholarship is renewable for a maximum of three additional years provided that the student maintains a 3.5 cumulative GPA and is enrolled in the Environmental Design Program, taking ENVD courses working toward a BEnvd. The amount of this scholarship may not exceed a total of $6,000 per student.

No application is necessary; ENVD will work with the Office of Financial Aid to automatically consider Colorado residents who apply as freshmen for the fall semester at CU-Boulder for any of the Esteemed Scholars scholarships.

The Program in Environmental Design Merit Scholarship

The Program in Environmental Design (ENVD) awards approximately ten $1,500 scholarships to the top admitted students each fall.  This is a one-time scholarship, and is awarded in the amount of $750 each semester for the students' first year in the ENVD program.   Student must maintain a 3.5 GPA and be enrolled in the ENVD Program, taking ENVD courses, working towards a BEnvd.  Freshman, transfer students, Colorado residents and non-residents are eligible to apply.  The Esteemed Scholars are not eligible for this one time scholarship.
