Program in Environmental Design

University of Colorado Boulder

CINC Facility and Design Fabrication Lab

The program offers its students access to specialized workshop and study facilities in the university's Center for Innovation and Creativity (CINC), which is located on the CU-Boulder East Campus. The educational and research activities in CINC are supported by a state-of-the-art Wood Lab, Metal Lab, Laser Cutting machines, two 3-Axis CNC routers and a high end CPU lab.

A mandatory "Basic Safety Orientation," conducted only at the beginning of the semester, is required for all students. Once attended, access to the facilities and all of its other training and resources will be at your disposal. This course is an introduction to the college’s safety policies as well as the proper use of personal safety equipment and safe practices on the smaller shop machines.

The Creative Labs at the CINC facility support ENVD course work and are not available for non program or private use.  Creative lab hours vary according to demand and semester.
