Paul Goodrum is the Nicholas R. Petry Professor of construction engineering and management in the Department of Civil, Environmental and Architectural Engineering. Goodrum teaches courses in the area of productivity improvement, construction methods and building information modeling. Prior to joining the faculty at CU Boulder, he was a professor of civil engineering at the University of Kentucky, where he was a three-time recipient of the Outstanding Faculty Teaching Award. The thrust of his research focuses at the intersection of construction productivity, demographics of the U.S. construction workforce and its influence on craft availability, and the influence of the format of visual information on human performance. Goodrum was a recipient of the Construction Industry Institute Outstanding Researcher Award in both 2008 and 2014 for his work in construction productivity and workforce issues.
