Graduating students are invited to participate in either one or both graduation events. The information below pertains to May and August degree canditates and the Engineering Recognition Ceremony only. For information regarding University Commencement, click here.

When you get up to walk to the stage, carry your hood on your left arm, and each faculty advisor should walk IN FRONT OF the candidate towards the stage. At the top of the stage steps, hand your card to the reader and then stand in front of your advisor on the stage as your face the audience. As your name is read, your advisor will hood you. (NOTE:  If your faculty advisor is unable to attend, the Associate Dean already on stage will hood you.)
  • Master's and bachelor's candidates will be directed by an usher to form a line to the stage.  When you reach the stage stairs, follow the directions of the usher and the staff at the stage; proceed up the steps and hand your card to the reader.  Cross the stage as your name is read and then return to your seat as directed by the ushers.
