Melinda was the director of development for engineering at Boise State University prior to joining the engineering development team at CU-Boulder in 2011. She earned a BS in mechanical engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and has 17 years of experience in the aerospace and aviation industry in the areas of research and development, safety, performance evaluation, and cost efficiency. She is a past president of the Southwest Idaho Section of the Society of Women Engineers.
