The Dean’s Fund for Excellence provides annual financial support to many areas within the College of Engineering and Applied Science at the dean’s discretion, with this support directed toward the most strategic needs in the areas of research, teaching, hands-on learning, and faculty support. A few of the top Dean’s Fund focus areas include: student apprenticeships, student projects, and faculty and staff awards. The Aerospace Engineering Sciences Department Excellence Fund is devoted to providing flexible funds to those areas that best prepare students for the challenges and opportunities that face the aerospace profession. Resources from the Aerospace Excellence Fund support engaging and challenging programs such as hands-on research projects designed to provide problem-solving skills that better prepare today’s students to become tomorrow’s aerospace and aeronautical leaders.
