Prof. David Clough: Building Programs and Friendships in Iraqi Kurdistan


David E. Clough is a professor of Chemical and Biological Engineering and a University Faculty Athletics Representative at CU-Boulder. He has had a significant impact on engineering education at CU-Boulder and beyond through career-long efforts to enhance the learning of engineering students. He has pioneered active- and cooperative-learning techniques in the College of Engineering and Applied Science, and in 1989 he originated the concept of the Integrated Teaching and Learning Laboratory (ITLL). Clough's research has focused on the automated control of chemical and related processes. He also has been involved with student-athletes and the CU athletic department for more 30 years.

Join CU Engineering for a special breakfast lecture event!

Enjoy breakfast while listening to Professor Dave Clough speak about his work designing the general engineering curriculum and the science and engineering labs at the American University of Iraq, Sulaimani (AUIS) in the Kurdistan region of northern Iraq - and connecting players on the women's basketball teams at CU-Boulder and AUIS. Time will be provided before and after the talk to chat and network with Professor Clough, college representatives, and fellow CU Engineering alumni.
