Consider a Future in Engineering!

You are here

As you approach the end of high school, the time has come to ask yourself what college major might interest you. If you are interested in math and science, and imagine yourself creating things that improve society, then you should consider an engineering future!  We invite you to check out the opportunities CU-Boulder offers that can help guide your decision making.

Step 1

Learn More About the Career Opportunities and Engineering Majors You Can Choose
Two great online resources to learn about many engineering majors and careers can be found at www.egfi-k12.org and www.engineeryourlife.org. We also encourage students to visit campus and attend one of our Visit Programs and Design Expos.

Step 2

Get More Detailed Information As You Prepare to Apply
The college hosts a Girls Explore Engineering Day among other events each fall and spring for prospective students. You can further explore the engineering majors and learn about the many great programs that CU has to offer, while receiving information about admissions, financial aid, and living on campus. The programs generally take place on Saturdays and include a parallel program for parents who have questions about higher education.
