Summer International Faculty Development Seminars

CIEE, a student Study Abroad provider, offers summer International Faculty Development Seminars on a variety of topics all over the world. The seminars are offered in a 2-3 week timeframe and involve some travel on-site.

The cost varies, with the average around $3,000. The Office of International Education offers some faculty stipends. Visit the CIEE website or contact  the Engineering Dean's Office for more information.

CU Engineering faculty members are essential to developing programs that advance the Engineering for a Global Society theme. Faculty can teach CU Global Education seminars, host international graduate students in research labs, write international research grants, propose dual-degree programs, assist with international internship placement, develop new courses, participate in faculty exchanges and share engineering expertise with faculty and students across the world.

During 2008-2009, the college led the way with new proposals for Faculty Global Seminars and Student Exchanges in China, England, France, Germany, Israel, and Japan. The college also led the CU-Boulder campus with PhD dual-degree proposals. Some of these faculty-led partnerships are featured in the blocks below.
