Transferring from within CU-Boulder

You are here

I applied to the College of Engineering and Applied Science but wasn't admitted. Can I still major in engineering?
Yes!  The majority of courses first-year engineering students take are open to all CU-Boulder students. First-semester students in the College of Arts and Sciences who are interested in transitioning into the College of Engineering and Applied Sciences can join the Pre-Engineering Program, offering a structured pathway of CU-Boulder course work applicable to engineering requirements as well as academic advising support from both colleges.

Students in other colleges, or students above the first-year level, are also able to apply for an intra-university transfer (IUT). See the IUT information page for details.
