EVEN 1000
Introduction to Environmental
Engineering
Class Email List
I've created a class list to which you can subscribe for class
information and updates, and I have added all of the students registered before
the class. The list will let you send questions and comments
related to the class to
everyone in the class (not just me) to help improve collaboration. This
list is owned, or "moderated" by me -- all messages come to me first and then I
send them to the list (with the answer to a question or a response to a
comment).
The list name is "even1000" and the
list address is even1000@lists.colorado.edu.
If you join the class after we start the semester,
you can subscribe to the list by addressing an email message to
To: listproc@lists.colorado.edu
from the email account that you want to receive
messages from the list. The content of the message should be
subscribe even1000
<email-address> <your-full-name>
where <email-address> is the address of the
email account at which you want to receive course emails and <your-full-name> is your full name --
both are entered without the <
>'s.
For example, if I were subscribing from my university account, my content would read
subscribe even1000 joseph.ryan@colorado.edu Joseph N. Ryan
or if I were subscribing from my own email account
(e.g., Yahoo, Hotmail, AOL, etc.),
subscribe even1000 josephryan@hotmail.com Joseph N. Ryan
You may sign up for the
list with more than one email account if want to receive course information on
more than one account. Just type multiple "subscribe" commands
on separate lines in the same email message.
Your request to subscribe will be sent to me (the
list owner) and from me to the List Processor with my approval. I will
receive a confirmation and forward it back to you -- that's when you will know
that you should be receiving class emails.
You can send your subscription message from here, but be
sure you are logged onto your own account:
listproc@lists.colorado.edu
More information about lists is available at the
University
of Colorado List Processor home page.
