CATECS Offers Convenient, Flexible Courses for the Working Professional, continued

The CATECS control room broadcasts courses to off-site locations, while also producing high-quality videotapes for rental and purchase. Professor Hal Gabow can be seen teaching in the CATECS studio.

Working professionals in the area, across the nation, and abroad can earn degrees (or professional certification in some programs) in Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, Electrical and Computer Engineering, Engineering Management, and Telecommunications through CATECS by videotape or live broadcast without having to take excessive time away from work or family. CATECS consults with industry to offer courses and programs that meet their specific needs. Many companies, including Level 3 Commu-nications, IBM, Sun Microsystems, StorageTek, and Hewlett-Packard, among others, support their employees taking courses through CATECS with tuition assistance programs.

Courses are also offered in Civil and Environmental Engineering and Mechanical Engineering through CATECS. Students have a wide variety of courses and fields to choose from, and more are added each year. If the classes being offered during a specific semester do not meet their needs, students have the option of selecting a course from our Tape Library. Over 100 tape library courses are available for credit, noncredit, rental or purchase.

If you have considered going back to school but cannot figure out how to work it into your busy schedule, consider CATECS — we make education work for you!
