Interdisciplinary Telecommunications Program

ITP Recruits New Leadership, Strengthens International Program

This spring, the Interdisciplinary Telecommunications Program welcomes a new director, Dale Hatfield, who brings more than 35 years of experience in the telecommunications field, including senior policy-making roles in the Office of Telecommunications Policy in the Executive Office of the President and the Federal Communications Commission. Named the 2001 "Engineer of Distinction" (see article), he was the founding director of a graduate-level telecommunications program at the University of Denver and has taught graduate-level telecommunications policy and regulation courses at Georgetown University and the University of Colorado at Boulder. More

 

Lockheed Martin Engineering Management Program

Engineering Management Marks Broad-Based Expansion

The Lockheed Martin Engineering Management Program has undergone a significant expansion in the last four years, bringing it to the point of being a significant educational center for technical management education.

The 14-year-old program directed by William Daughton still maintains its fundamental roots in providing continuing professional education for practicing engineers, but it has expanded from a single curriculum to offer multi-track alternatives in quality and process, R&D, and operations. The strength of this core graduate education is the flexibility that distance education provides to working engineers and the mix of theory and practice embedded in the courses. More
