Melinda SeeversMelinda Seevers, Senior Director

Melinda Seevers is the Senior Director of Corporate & Foundation Relations for BioFrontiers and the College of Engineering and Applied Science at CU-Boulder. She began her career at CU-Boulder in July 2011, where she leads the corporate and foundation relations for the College, as well as a team of development professionals.

Melinda began her university career in 2005 working in engineering education research, and transitioned into development in 2006. She led all development efforts for Boise State University’s College of Engineering during the University’s successful ($185 million) first comprehensive campaign, in which the College received the University’s largest single gift of $13 million to create a new PhD program.

She earned a BS in mechanical engineering from Cal Poly Pomona and has 17 years of experience in the aerospace and aviation industry in the areas of research and development, safety, performance evaluation, and cost efficiency. 

Sara Buhr, Director of Development
Corporate and Foundation Relations


Sara Buhr serves as the Director of Development in Corporate and Foundation Relations for the College of Engineering and Applied Science. Sara is responsible for corporate and foundation relations across all departments in the college, and serves as the liaison for the BOLD Center.  Prior to her role at CU-Boulder, she served as the Director of Development for the College of Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.

Being new to Colorado, Sara is excited to explore all Boulder and Colorado have to offer. She enjoys travel, skiing, and attending football games and theater performances.
