Graduate students population grows

You are here

The population of CU engineering grad students is on the rise, with more than 10 percent annual growth in enrollment in fall 2009.

The college saw more than 10 percent annual growth in its graduate student enrollments in fall 2009, thanks to an increase in recruiting, partnerships, and fellowship support, along with continued excellence in graduate programs.

The graduate population totaled 1,363 in fall 2009, and has risen nearly 25 percent since fall 2006.

The increase follows enhanced recruiting and advertising efforts to attract more domestic and international applicants, and the implementation of the Dean’s Outstanding Merit Graduate Fellowships and Assistantships for first-year graduate students supported by college and department funding along with private gifts.
