The Center for Research and Education in Wind (CREW) has been established as the newest center of the Colorado Renewable Energy Collaboratory, a multi-institutional partnership between CU-Boulder, National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Colorado School of Mines, and Colorado State University.
The new center is headquartered at CU-Boulder with Professor Lucy Pao serving as scientific director. Pao is the Richard and Joy Dorf Professor of electrical, computer, and energy engineering. CREW corporate founding members include Mitsubishi Power Systems Americas, Renewable Energy Systems Americas, Vestas, and WindLogics.
The collaboratory also has centers in biorefining and biofuels, and solar photoconversion.
