| James Diekmann is a Professor of Civil and Architectural Engineering at the University of Colorado in Boulder Colorado. Diekmann joined the faculty in 1979 and since that time has been the head of the Construction Engineering and Management program. Diekmann is an active teacher and researcher in the Construction Management field, his work centers on applying new techniques of risk analysis to construction and hazardous waste projects and applying techniques emerging from the manufacturing domain to construction production management. Diekmann has conducted research projects for NSF, the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the U.S. EPA, the U.S. DOE, CII and the AGC. Prior to joining Colorado Professor Diekmann worked for the Bechtel Corporation, Ebasco Services and as an active-duty member of the US Army Corps of Engineers.
