TIMESHEETS
Timesheets should be turned in during class every Tuesday, and cover the hours worked by each group member over the previous week (previous Tues through Monday; example: timesheet 1 should have covered the period from 8/24 to 8/30). All timesheets must be signed by the entire group.
Elements that should be included on your timesheets:
1. Company Name
2. Employee Name
3. Time period covered (example: 8/24 - 8/30) & Project (Broomfield 210 facility plan)
4. Activity conducted each time you worked on the project
(example: gathered background information on existing site conditions, attended
group organizational meeting, etc.; be fairly specific)
5. Date & Time Range that you worked on the specified activity
(example: 8/25 8:30-9:30 am read background information on denitrification)
6. Total hours you worked during the time period
7. Percent your cumulative effort is compared to the workplan.
8. Signatures of all the team members
9. Individual time sheet completed
Note: you generally keep a "real time" log of your hours when you work for a consulting firm. You are not allowed to fill the time sheet out at the end of the week and "recall" your work time for each project. In some cases, such as work for the Federal government, they may have the right to come back and review timesheets relevant to the project, so completeness and accuracy are important.
10. Time sheet submitted on time.
** Please attempt to incorporate all elements. The single group timesheet with all signatures on it (and no signatures on individual sheets) is optional, but is generally helpful for the project manager trying to track the effort of the team relative to the workplan (and handy for me, too!). Each group member will still turn in an individual timesheet with the detailed description of work completed. A good "example" timesheet that includes all these elements is available as a guide, but your sheets can look different.
