    This page is full of all the information you need to know if you'd like to attend. All CU students are welcome to attend, we will have plenty of for everyone.  Come play some computer games with us!

    If you are interested in coming, read through the information below and then RSVP.  

    Where
      Christy's House, RSVP for directions.

    When
      Anytime on Saturday July 2, 2005 starting at 10 am (Player set up starts no earlier than 10:00) come and go as you please.

    Cost and Food
      FREE

      Food is on your own for this one.  We might pitch in for pizza but I suggest bringing munchies.


    Transportation and Parking

      There are no parking regulations in my apartment complex, park in any parking space you like. There is a handicapped space right in front of my place that can be used for unloading computers.

Players Information

    Deadline for RSVP
      This list will be filled on a first-come-first-served basis determined by when RSVP's are received.

    Computer System Requirements
      You must be able to bring each of the items on the Players Checklist. If you need any of these or other pieces of hardware, let us know ahead of time as we have some extras and would love to accommodate you.   

      DISCLAIMER: In order to bring a computer you must be able to meet the minimum system requirements for the games you would like to play, which are all listed below. In most cases this means your OS must be Windows 98 or better. If you would like to bring a computer that runs an OS other than Windows (ie. Mac, Linux etc.) then you are responsible for obtaining copies of the software for the games we are playing, and you are responsible for understanding your networking capabilities so you can play with us.
       
    Players Checklist

      You MUST at the very least bring each of the following:
      • Software for any game you wish to play
      • All power cords (most likely at least 2, for monitor and box)
      • Cat 5 networking cable
         
      • PLEASE LABEL all of your cords, software, and anything else you are bringing that you would like to take home with you, we had a large lost and found at our last party.

      We have extras of each of the above, if you need something let us know when you RSVP so we can accommodate you.


    So what are we playing?

      Here is a list of the games we will be supporting, the final list of what is played will ultimately be up to the gamers and is completely flexible. Our LAN will have internet access, so specific patches may be downloaded the day of the party.  System Requirements and links to game descriptions are available at the bottom of this page.
      • Starcraft - Broodwar
      • Warcraft III
      • Atomic Bomberman
      • Soldat (freeware) [Download]
      • Half Life 2
      • Unreal Tournament 2004

      Any of the games you would like to play you are responsible for obtaining and installing onto your computer.  Soldat and Bomberman are freeware and both take 2 seconds to learn and 2 minutes to master, great party games!

    Below are the PC system requirements for each of the games we will be playing for your reference. There are also links to description of each of the games with images, demos, etc. Please make sure that your computer fits the requirements for the games that you wish to play.

      Minimum Requirements - PC - StarCraft
      • Windows 95/98/NT 4.0
      • Pentium 90 or higher
      • 16mb RAM
      • DirectX-compatible SVGA Video Card
      • 80MB of hard disk space
      • Microsoft-compatible Mouse
      • Double-speed CD-ROM
      • DirectX Compatible sound card for audio

      Minimum System Requirements - PC - Broodwar
      • Windows 95/98/NT 4.0
      • Pentium 90 or higher
      • 16mb RAM
      • 80MB extra hard disk space
      • DirectX-compatible SVGA Video Card
      • Microsoft-compatible Mouse
      • Double-speed CD-ROM
      • DirectX Compatible sound card for audio
      • Full version of Starcraft

    • Unreal Tournament 2004

      Minimum System Requirements - PC
      • Operating System: Windows® 98/Me/2000/XP
      • Processor: Pentium® III or AMD Athlon 1.0 GHz processor or faster (1.5 GHz or faster processor recommended)
      • Memory: 128 MB RAM minimum (256 MB recommended)
      • Hard Disk Space: 5.5 GB free
      • Video: Any Windows-compatible video card(NVIDIA GeForce 2 or ATI Radeon with at least 64 megs of video memory recommended)
      • Sound: Windows®-compatible sound card. NVIDIA® nForce(tm) or other motherboards/soundcards containing the Dolby® Digital Interactive Content Encoder required for Dolby Digital audio
      • DirectX®: DirectX® version 8.1(included)or higher
      • Multiplayer: Internet (TCP/IP) and LAN (TCP/IP)play supported | 33.6K baud modem or broadband Internet connection recommended

      • 16 MB RAM
      • 30 MB of hard drive space
      • Sound Blaster (Pro, 16, AWE32) and 100% compatibles
      • 100% Microsoft compatible mouse and keyboard
