Scholarships

Each year National SWE administers over 100 individual scholarship awards, varying from $1000 to over $5000 per year and totaling more than $200,000. University of Colorado women pursuing degrees in an engineering program are eligable. To qualify students must be in the specified year of study during the academic year the grant payment is made and need to meet any additional specific requirements for various included individual awards. Submittals that are incomplete or postmarked after the submission deadlines will not be considered.

  • Freshman Application is Due May 15, Minimum GPA 3.5/4.0, Notified September
  • Soph, Jun, Sen Application is Due Feb 1, Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0, Notified May
  • Graduate Application is Due Feb 1, Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0, Notified May
  • Reentry Aplication is Due May 15, Minimum GPA 3.0/4.0, Notified September

Each year, the Rocky Mountain Section of SWE gives out 3 $1000 scholarships to continuing students in the Rocky Mountain area (i.e. CU, CSU, Mines, UCD, DU, Wyoming). Check them out under the scholarship tab at SWE-RMS.org Scholarship dealine is February 1 and must include an essay, transcript, and 2 letters of recommendation with the scholarship form.
