Course Objectives:

1.      Students will learn MEMS in details through design and numerical simulations of MEMS electro-thermal-mechanical behaviors.

2.      Students will establish their MEMS CAD skills covering numerical and analytical approaches through CoventorWare tutorials and lab assignments.

3.      Students will learn MEMS design synthesis through the lectures on selected topics, the review of latest MEMS research papers and the independent project.

Office Hours: 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays (ECME 122); emails are preferred.
Course Schedule: Lecture: 3:00 p.m. to 3:50 p.m., Mondays and Wednesdays. Reserve Fridays for make-up lectures. Students will learn the tutorials and conduct the lab assignments all by themselves.

Classroom: ECCR108.

Textbook: no textbook. Follow the CoventorWare tutorials. You can get them from “Help” on the CoventorWare’s main menu. Lecture slides will be posted by the night before the class.
