Professor Ranker teaches a course on classifying flowering plants during the academic year when many plants are not in bloom.‹ The objective of this project is to supplement frozen and pressed flower specimens with a web site containing 3-D photographs of plants.‹ Students will be able to rotate and manipulate the 3-D images in order to examine the features of the plant. In addition to creating the web site with sample plant specimens, ETH students will produce a guide to creating QuickTime VR 3-D images so that Professor Ranker, other botany department members, and faculty from other departments such as anthropology can create similar 3-D images
