CATECS Adds Web Courses and New Live Site at Interlocken, continued

In January 2000, CATECS introduced a new open live site in the CU Interlocken Education Center located at 555 Eldorado Blvd. in the Interlocken Business Park. The site will not only serve those employed at Interlocken but also students from the surrounding area. (For information about the site, call Mary Costello at 303-735-3276.)

Keeping pace with Internet technology, CATECS also added two web-based telecommunications courses for the Spring 2000 semester, Being a Competitive Local Exchange Carrier and Internet Economics. If these courses generate high demand, more web-based courses could be added in the future.

This past academic year CATECS offered over 250 courses, including over 100 courses available through our tape library. Tape library courses are available for credit or noncredit, and rental or purchase. To obtain a tape library catalog, see our web site (below) or contact CATECS at 303-492-0212.

Through the CATECS program, students from across the nation and even abroad have the opportunity to obtain a master's degree in aerospace engineering, computer science, electrical and computer engineering, engineering management, mechanical engineering, and telecommunications. Whatever your educational goals, CATECS looks forward to providing you with the best of both worlds: convenient distance education and University of Colorado academic quality. www.colorado.edu/CATECS
