Faculty Profile

Brian Argrow, continued

Incorporating teaching techniques observed throughout his career—he came to CU-Boulder in 1992 from the University of Oklahoma—Argrow helps students realize their academic potential with his pro-active philosophy.

He has been recognized for teaching excellence at both the college and campus levels and this year was named a President's Teaching Scholar by CU President John Buechner. Argrow was instrumental in the recent overhaul of the AES curriculum, and he works on various college and department committees to augment the use of technology in the classroom.

With research expertise in computational, experimental, and analytical aero-gas dynamics and thermophysics, he also serves on the NASA Advisory Council's Aeronautics and Space Transportation Technology Advisory Committee. —By Holly Kleinman.
