Generic Bioprocessing Apparatus Incubator (GBA
INC) The initial version of GBA INC first flew aboard STS-50 and enabled turbidity measurements to be made for experiments contained in FPAs through use of an LED-photo diode mechanism. A later modification provided internal stowage for 9 manually activated GAPs, from which individual FPA’s could be removed in flight for optical monitoring.
