Lab 11: Mystery GPS Site
Due: November 18, 2003
Given:
Goal: Find the latitude/longitude/height of the mystery site.
The RINEX header location is zero. This is my way of telling you that you don't
know where you are - which is the position you are in with a real GPS receiver.
- Do not use a troposphere model for this homework.
- Hardwire your TMGO position as your initial Cartesian coordinates:
-1283387.6627 -4713015.5351 4090190.4704
- Calculate your position, iterating until you converge,
with a convergence criterion of 10-5 for the norm of
the position misfit, i.e.
- Print out your latitude (degrees), longitude (degrees), and height (meters)
with a precision of 0.00001 degrees and 1 mm.
- For latitude only, make a plot of that shows your latitude (y-axis) as a
function of iteration number (x-axis).
Turn in: plot, software and print out
