SUBJECT: Campus Buildings Reopened Following Boulder High Alert

All buildings at the University of Colorado at Boulder are now open, following
an alert Thursday morning that resulted in the temporary closing of 19 campus
buildings following a report of suspicious persons at Boulder High School.

Also, vehicular access to two residence halls for end-of-semester move-out has
been restored. Access to the College Inn for move-out is available to
vehicular traffic by using 19th Street off of Arapahoe Avenue. As of 12:15
p.m., 17th Street was still closed. Sewall Hall also is now accessible via
University Avenue for students moving out of the residence hall.

CU-Boulder commencement ceremonies will proceed as scheduled on Friday
beginning at 8:30 a.m. at Folsom Stadium.

A report of two suspicious individuals at nearby Boulder High School early
Thursday morning prompted temporary security measures at CU-Boulder.

While authorities advise that the threat appears to have passed, members of the
CU-Boulder community are urged to report any suspicious persons or behavior to
the CU Police department by calling (303) 492-6666 or, in an emergency, 911.

A message to the CU community is available on CU-Boulder's information line at
(303) 492-5500, and updates to that line will be provided as needed throughout
the day.
